Excerpt A referral marketing system and method is provided that allows for the marketing of goods or services of a provider to its customer by aiding in the marketing of the goods/services of the customer. In a preferred embodiment the system and method of the instant invention is used to market appraisal services to loan officers by assisting the loan officers in marketing to referral sources of the loan officers. The system provides email notices to the referral sources of the loan officer that appear to be sent from the loan officer, but that are sent by the appraiser as part of the appraisal service.
