The idea is an improvement upon previously developed concepts for field recognition. Claim 1 overlaps with the core of other patents (see prior art), but the rest - the improvements upon the idea - are legitimate. Noah Stern (about 2 years ago)
This is a unique idea. I could not find any references to a similar technology. There are methods for efficiently syncing address books or passing business card information very quickly or keeping it more organized, but never a way to capture missing profile information.
