Description
The commonly used CAPTCHA prompts a user to verify that they are an active user by inputting a string of alphanumerics matching that of a certain prompt. The program then verifies the match before the transaction in question can proceed.

Description
This reference is the patent application itself. The background of the invention section of the patent application acknowledges that the invention as claimed is in the prior art. See specifically the final two paragraphs of the section. The first of these two paragraphs describes the existing technology. Claim 1 does not include any limitations that distinguish over the described technology. The final paragraph describes the problem solved by the invention. However, nothing in claim 1 solves that problem.
